Tomato Chutney

6 Fresh Tomatoes
2 Green Chillies
2 Red Chillies, dried
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Ural Dal
1 tsp Methi Seeds
2 tsp Hing
1 tsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Coriander Seeds
  Salt, to taste
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil


  1. In a non-stick frypan heat the oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, methi, coriander seeds, hing, and the chillies. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the tomatoes, brown sugar and salt. Fry till all the ingredients are mixed together and the tomatoes are well cooked.
  3. Let mixture cool completely and then grind to a fine paste.
